MuchFACT Announces Fund Recipients for October 4, 2013 Jury

Over $430,000 awarded to more than 35 Canadian musicians

TORONTO (October 7, 2013) –Bell Media’sMuchFACT(A Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent) announced today the 37 fund recipients from theOctober 4, 2013jury meeting. With over 290 applications considered, a total of $438,300.00 was awarded to Canadian musicians for the production of music videos, viral videos, EPKs and websites.

In recent months MuchFACT-supported music videos have made waves online and on air, helping Canadian talent reach new fans, and tell their story, both in Canada and abroad. Electro-dance duoAutoerotiquehave seen their MuchFACT-supported video for"Asphyxiation" increase to more than two million views on YouTube since being posted in May, 2012. As well, Toronto indie bandHolleradohave used their MuchFACT-supported video for "So It Goes" to tell the amazing story of how lead singer Menno’s grandfather’s life was spared by a German soldier in WWII, and how he then repaid the soldier’s compassion after the war.
